Welcome To The Central Illinois Youth Football League!
The Central Illinois Youth Football League (CIYFL) is home to one of the most established and respected youth football organizations in Illinois. With over fifty years of experience, the CIYFL continues to provide a safe and competitive football environment to youth in the Champaign, Urbana, Savoy, Mahomet, Rantoul, Tolono and Milford areas.
Our divisions consist of the following –
Ø Pee Wee 3rd & 4th Grades
Ø JrVarsity 5th & 6th Grades
Ø Varsity 7th & 8th Grades
The season begins in late August with all of our divisions playing a 9 to 10 week game schedule. Our JrVarsity and Varsity divisions include playoff games and culminate with Championship Games in October played in recent years at Urbana, Rantoul and St. Thomas More High Schools.
When you look over the local High School Football Rosters, chances are that roster will contain many former players from the CIYFL. In addition, players from the CIYFL have continued their football career at the University of Illinois including one who recently entered the NFL draft. We take great pride in seeing our young men and women continue on this journey. More importantly though is our heightened sense of responsibility in teaching our players the value of hard work, dedication and the importance of education. The youth of today will soon be the leaders of tomorrow and all of us in the CIYFL are proud to be a part of that mentoring process.
